Over 110,000,000 animals are killed on fur farms every year - this is how they live and die. ADI placed hidden cameras on a Polish fur farm to follow the lives of a family of foxes; we named the three cubs Borys, Eryk and Aleska. Their world is a small wire cage. We see the cubs nursed by their mother and Aleska taking her first halting steps; after a few weeks their mother is removed; the growing cubs explore their small world and play together. As their coats change to the thick white fur that should protect them through the winter months, their days are numbered. At less than 7 months of age, Borys and Eryk are dragged from their cage by their tails, hung upside down, and electrocuted. Aleska can only watch on as her terrified brothers are killed in front of her; spared, Aleska will be used to produce next year’s babies for the fur trade.
Investigate The Death Of Horse On Barnes Road, Millington, MI. Target: Sheriff Glen Skrent, Tuscola County, Caro, Michigan; Dr. James Averill - State Veterinarian and Director, Animal Industry Division.
We demand the Tuscola Sheriff’s Office, District Attorney and Department of Agriculture pursue felony aggravated animal cruelty charges against the person or persons responsible for the abuse and torture of the 10 year old appaloosa located at 4398 Barnes Road, Millington, MI.
While the Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey's
"Greatest Show on Earth" may have ended, much to the relief of animal lovers
like myself, it isn't the end of the pain and suffering for Feld Entertainment's
animals.
Recently, one of the former circus tigers was shot
dead in Georgia after escaping from a truck bound for Tennessee. Now,
the parent company of the circus, Feld Entertainment, wants to export
its tigers to Germany.
Feld Entertainment has submitted an application to
send 14 tigers to Germany. This permit process is required when transporting any
endangered species across borders. The journey will negatively impact the
animals' welfare and once they arrive in Germany, they will face many more years
of torture at the German circus. The company's track record of animal
abuse should be sufficient to deny this permit but the USFWS needs to hear from
us.
Feld Entertainment should not be allowed to
continue to profit from these animals' suffering. Sign this petition urging the USFWS to deny the permit
application from Feld Entertainment and force them to retire their animals to an
accredited sanctuary instead.

Stop this anti-wildlife bill in Congress now! The full name of the SHARE Act (H.R. 3668) is the Sportsmen’s Heritage and Recreational Enhancement Act.
If it’s passed, the SHARE Act would harm America’s wildlife in many ways.
Here are just a few of the threats the SHARE Act poses to wild animals. It would:
- Strip Endangered Species Act (ESA) protection from gray wolves in Wyoming and Great Lakes states
- Allow inhumane and dangerous trapping across much of our federal public land
- Prevent the government from regulating toxic lead in ammunition and fishing tackle
- Allow a cabal of hunters to import grisly polar bear trophies that they shot right after the government announced (in 2008) this species was about to be protected by the ESA. This would set a dangerous precedent.
This awful bill already has been approved by the House Natural Resource Committee, and it soon will be considered by the full U.S. House of Representatives.
Let your Representative know that this bill is extremely dangerous to wildlife in the U.S.
Ask your representative to do two things – vote against the bill and urge their colleagues to do the same.
The Bureau of Land Management has to protect wild horses and burros. It's the law. The Wild Free-Roaming Horse and Burro Act was passed more than 45 years ago. Yet, the agency continues to round up horses and remove them from public lands.
If nothing changes, these horses will die. The House Appropriations Committee passed the Stewart Amendment as of the upcoming budget. This amendment allows the BLM to send 92,000 horses to slaughterhouses as part of their roundup. It's not just the sick and elderly animals that are targeted. Young, perfectly healthy horses will be killed as part of the campaign.
The law is pretty darn clear: wild horses and burros are protected from "capture, branding, harassment or death." I don't know how anyone on the Appropriations Committee or at the BLM thinks a plan to round them up to ship them off to their death can be legal.
But that hasn't stopped them from trying, and they'll get away with it if it continues to stay under the radar. That's why we need you to loudly and clearly speak out for the lives and safety of the animals.
