Indictment in Mueller Investigation, Mark Halperin, Paul Manafort, War on Opioids, Phil Lesh & The Terrapin Family Band W/ Nicki Bluhm, Robert Randolph & Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Rams Bye Week

The week gone by was culminated with breaking news that Robert Mueller is set to arrest whomever for their parts in the Russian probe. Evidently, grand jury members in this case gave way to the indictment this week. We just do not know much more as of now.

You had to figure that since Trump set up some of the House GOP leaders to open some new probe into the FBI's handling of Clinton investigation, and since trump himself is bringing up HC (Hillary Clinton) in Tweets over the last few days, that something big was going down with regard to that Russia investigation.

Whenever the Trump people point anything at Hillary Clinton, you may as well know that they are talking about themselves. After all, everything Trump said on the campaign trail about how Hillary if elected, is exactly what is happening with him and with this administration. Remember how he would say over and over on the campaign trail that she would be under constant investigation if elected, and low behold like I said a million times after he said that sentence, he is under total investigation for his shady ways and corrupt ways.

Him blaming others or bringing up others when he is doing is exactly that is what he does every time. It is an obvious defense mechanism to yell at the top of your lungs that someone is doing something shady when you know damn well you are doing that same thing literally as you speak about it.

Trump has been under constant investigation and we all know he dealt in shady ways to win.

It does not take a genius to see it and moreover, let's say there is a cover up, why would anyone on this planet believe a word stated by anyone close to Trump and when Trump speaks himself?

Nothing they say is ever true.

Trump himself has averaged over 5 lies a day since January 20th. The kids are total lairs and it is also telling how we have not heard a word from Jared (Kushner) or either of the two asshole kids (Don Jr. and Eric) for months now (and since that day Jared went on the stand). His press people and direct staff are total lairs that get caught every week. Sarah Huckabee-Sanders again this week lied about HC and we have been over the General Kelly lies from last week.

Besides, did HC collude with the Russian brass to lose the election?

That was the M.O. in Trump's people's eyes?

And, even though it is not known who had been indicted yet, it seems like it is most likely to be Paul Manafort

Evidently his lawyer was scrambling at that District Court on Friday down in DC. We also heard a bit of distancing of Trump and Manafort by Trump himself and per his staff. They even orchestrated that article about some sexual harassment thing the day after the story broke about when his home was converged on by the FBI. That story was short lived however and it did not get legs if you will. I cannot even remember those nuances anyway but it is so calculated.

Regardless of that huge news, and speaking of sexual harassment, what the hell is up with Mark Halperin?

That story shocked me this week. I was in shock. I would have never have thought of him as being any type of predator in that regard and I have to hope so much that he was just being an overbearing nebish when it came to approaching women. But now 9 women have come out saying that he overstepped that line.

Crazy.

I really wish the 11 or whatever amounts of women that say that Trump groped them or sexually harassed them would all come out in a very organized and concise way. Forget Gloria Allred and Lisa Bloom that I always see getting hired by women in these situations. That did not work. Something gets lost in the message when they are behind women that have been abused and when they prop them up at press conferences rather than just suing him. I am not even sure why I feel that way considering they have a decent track record but I think it gets counterproductive recently for some reason. I feel that they are easy targets for the likes of Trump who will blast anyone and anything if they do something against him.

Trump also laid down a War on Opioids which lacked substance (go figure) and was all hype. Everything he said was right out of the War on Drugs playbook which we all know failed miserably (unless you are private prison owner).

He is doubling down on “law and order.” He said that "there will be an increase in federal drug prosecutions and longer sentences for convicts."

Trump, Tom Price and other staffers announced that a "tough law-and-order" approach would be implemented, rather than dealing with actual treatment of the addictions.

According to Chris Christie, who was on Morning Joe this week, he said that we face like 147 overdose drug deaths every day (according to the NIH (National Institutes of Health)).

I saw Phil on Thursday up in Asbury Park and BTW, Asbury Park is really nice (we ate at a sick Japanese Restaurant right in the middle of town and on that main street). I thought it was hoody and think it was when I was last there many years ago (I got my start at the Chalet Sounds in Manasquan, NJ way back in the last 80s). I love that venue (Asbury Park Convention Center). It is so old school although the sound was very eh and we even had sick seats (first row on risers) so I am not sure why the sound lagged.

The Rams are off this week. It is making for a boring weekend even though I get to be with my niece and nephew most of it.

Honestly everyone, I wish I had more to say this week.

Trump was on rather decent behavior after that god awful week last week and then if you think about it, the week before that was almost as bad last week. This week he stayed on script as he looked Presidential if you will, for the first time ever. It was probably his best speech but listen to me, we are giving this POTUS total props for literally not acting like an asshole.

What a so called bar that is to have when all you have to do is to NOT be a dick to get some sort of odd victory.
