Defenseless animals should never be used to test cosmetics when alternative methods already exist. Helpless animals are forced to suffer through agonizing experiments, and eventual death, just to test cosmetics and personal care products like lipstick and shampoo.
If we can spare a vulnerable animal a lifetime of senseless pain and suffering, we should—it's commonsense.
The Food and Drug Administration does NOT require animal testing to determine if a cosmetic product is safe for human use. And today in the United States, there are thousands of existing cosmetic ingredients already considered perfectly safe for humans.
We need to catch up with modern advancements and global progress to ensure cosmetics are safe and humane. We can do this with the Humane Cosmetics Act, but we need your support.
