How
do you get people to understand what it's like for an orca to be taken away from
his or her mom?
In PETA's stunning new empathy-building experience,
viewers go underwater to swim with a grieving mother orca, voiced by Edie Falco.
People can see—and feel—an artistic representation of SeaWorld's cruelty to
orcas for themselves, thanks to this virtual reality project.
Although
"I, Orca" is a make-believe undersea experience, in reality, all orcas now
living in captivity were either torn away from their natural ocean homes and
families or born into a marine-animal prison that they can't escape.
