Gun Safety Weekly Stats, New Jersey Stats & Congress hasn’t provided funding to study gun violence at the CDC in over two decades...

House Democrats are allocating $50 million to study gun violence — $25 million to the CDC and $25 million to the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

This is a big deal. The NRA has blocked gun violence research for decades because they fear what the results will say.

Thanks to the leadership of Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats, we will finally be able to study one of our greatest sources of death and injury.

So we want to thank Speaker Pelosi for keeping her promise to make gun violence a top priority! Will you join us?

This move by House Democrats is likely to face some resistance from NRA backed Republicans in the House and Senate.

So we need to make our voices heard and let Congress know that this funding must be a top priority.

We are closer than we’ve ever been to securing funding for gun violence research, so let’s not back down now.
