Joe (Scarborough) baits Donald J. Trump to be interviewed by Mueller, Trump will not release Dem's memo, John Perry-Barlow & Dr. Jack McConnell dies, Government shuts down & reopens, Eagles Super Bowl Parade, More Chaos in the White House, 2 people Resign because of sexual abuse & NFL Season begins at Philly Art Museum and ends up there too...

What the hell went down this week?

What did not go down this week?

The POTUS is not releasing the response to the 'Nunez Memo'.

Which go figure that he does not want that response out and what else to go figure about is how the Democratic Party could have somehow inadvertently made the POTUS look a bit shady without even trying to.

I don't think it was premeditated to submit the response to the memo just because everyone would know he would shut it down.

That is too diabolical for anyone in the Democratic Party to have pulled that off and overall, I would let it die. No one cares about the Nunez memo and any people with brains knows it was a fake that was written by the staffers at the White House with that Kashyap (Kash) Patel's signature on it so to speak

I maintained that the Dem's should not have done this response but again, if they pulled this double whammy effect, more to power to it.

The problem is that the POTUS is trying to have it both ways.

He is trying to say that it is up to him to release the Nunez memo and he is now trying to say that it is up to him to release the response to it even though the Adam Schiff is working direct with the Department of Justice and with the FBI to redact accordingly

The POTUS's lawyer called it a separation of powers issue when the separation of power issue is with the Presidential branch trying to control the House.

In essence with this latest decision to not release the response to the Nunez Memo, it is another way that he is asserting an authority that he just does not have and it is in turn another part of the way he is trying to obstruct justice with regard to the Mueller investigation.

It is quite fascinating Constitutional Law quite frankly because if the House wants to release their response, they can do it.

Besides, didn't Congressman Nadler read a page of it last week or was that in a dream I had because I could have sworn I had heard a bunch of it.

Regardless, the Democrat's could get their response to the public and I mean by law.

The White House does not have the power to hold it back. 'It is up to the House Intel Committee, not Trump, whether to release the Democratic memo on the Page FISA application.'

The standing rules of the 'House', notably, Rule 10, Clause 11, Part G simply requires the selected committee members on intelligence to make a determination that the public interest would be served by providing such disclosure.

And, on Monday this week, they made that determination by voting unanimously and in a bi partisan way with a 21-0 vote.

Further, there is no law that allows any POTUS the authority to override that.

Like I alluded to above here and as Laurence Tribe tweeted today is that Trump's lawyer obliterated the Constitution saying there would be separation of powers issues when again, there is, but the other way.

Under the very rules of the House, they gave the POTUS the materials to make a decision until last night at midnight. And, so now the POTUS must come up with a reason to what exactly he objects to in that response and how it would threaten the National Interest so badly that it would outweigh the public interest in transparency. He has not done that. He said it is not a good idea or something along those vague lines.
House Intelligence Committee to vote Monday on releasing Dems’ countermemo
Which could be happening BTW because my man Adam Schiff (who is responsible for putting our gun bill where the manufacturers and sellers cannot be sued (http://sustainableaction.wixsite.com/sustainableaction/equal-access-justice-for-victims-law) into the books many years ago and even though it sits dormant, it shows you what kind of real person he is that cares about the people) did turn their memo over to the FBI. Therefore they are still working together on it. Maybe it is to poise for the release of it.

The only other thing is which I think I alluded to here today is that why even do the response? The original memo was so bad that only the Trump base is going to think that is true.

Then we had the number 3 in control of the DOJ and the very person that weirdo Jeff Sessions was praising last week/this week at some function, step down from that gig to take a job at Wal-Mart.

Rachel Brand is out and now next in line is some guy named, Noel Francisco. When I first saw his bio, I noticed that he was the lawyer who represented former Virginia governor Robert F. McDonnell last year when the Supreme Court unanimously overturned McDonnell’s conviction on corruption charges.

I just cannot figure out if he was the appellate lawyer or the lawyer that lost in the initial part of the claim. If he is NOT the latter of the two, he sucks considering McDonnell got a bunch of years before the appeal went his way.

And, then if he is the appellate guy, that would mean he is the one now handling the Herbie Vederman appeals process. I know that he picked up the old McDonnell law firm and those lawyers to handle his appeal.

This Noel Francisco can make it very hard for Mueller to finish the investigation. He is considered to potentially be another one of Trump's 'errand boys' according to Laurence tribe, a Harvard Professor of Constitutional Law.

This is another part of the slow burning 'Saturday Night Massacre' that Trump is trying to pull off so as of this week, it is a race against time in that Department of Justice.

I really hope people can see through what is happening here.

This is being done in a real arrogant way. It is almost in our faces. The problem now vs the old Saturday Night Massacre is that the initial one did occur on a given Saturday night in one swoop back with Nixon but now it is happening very slowly and very systematically. It is not being done well but they are spacing it out rather than dealing in one firing. Most of all, there is not a GOP'er in place that is willing to stand up against Trump.

Hence, the need to turn the tables this year in those mid term elections.

It turns out that the POTUS did send a formal written response to the Democratic memo. And because many of the House Representatives are in their own districts and not in Washington DC, and because some of the mark up's cannot leave the House building because of security issues, many have not seen it. They are going through it now though.

I think the memo written by the Democrat's will be released.

I also forgot that the government was shut down when I fell asleep on Thursday, but then it reopened again by the time I got up at 530AM.

There were also two obscure deaths that happened this week. Obscure in the sense that they are related and affiliated accordingly with bands I follow and followed accordingly. John Perry Barlow died. He was part of the songwriting duo with Bob Weir that wrote all of those tunes dating back to the 1960's. He wrote some of my favorite songs of all time. His writing was unique and his songs will be timeless.
Then, Paige's dad died. I actually have a Jack McConnell story. In South Carolina one year, I helped him onto the stage. I happened to be standing next to the tunnel area where people come out from back stage and he needed help. So I held out my arm and he walked with me to the steps of the stage and onto the stage where he sang a song with the band. Which was the second time I had seen him sing with the band. So that sucked for Paige's family.

The Eagles had their Super Bowl parade in Philadelphia on Thursday. I have to think that more people were there for this parade than for the Pope although I could be way off base. Chris Mathews said that there were 700,000 people around the art museum during the speeches. And, then however many people down Broad Street leading up to the Art Museum.

Which I realized that this entire year started at the base and steps at the Philadelphia Art Museum for the draft, and then it ended up in that same spot for the Super Bowl Parade.
And, I dunno what else but to stay thanks for reading and have fun with it.
