Tell Congress to Support Comprehensive Music Reform,Dionne Warwick,Neil Portnow,Tom Douglas,Booker Jones,Mike Clink, Aloe Blacc

Against the backdrop of Music’s Biggest Night, Congress is in New York City to hold a special hearing on music policy issues.
Today, Recording Academy President/CEO Neil Portnow and a panel of creators will testify in front of the House Judiciary Committee on the problems with today’s outdated music licensing framework, offering a comprehensive solution for music modernization.

This is a momentous hearing for the music community.

The committee members will hear directly from music creators this afternoon

Congress has an historic opportunity this year to pass comprehensive music licensing reform and usher in much-needed modernizations that will benefit all music creators. For far too long, performers, songwriters and producers have been forced to deal with broken and outdated laws that suppress pay and hinder opportunity. For the first time, the music community has come together on a consensus vision on how to modernize these laws—now is the time for Congress to listen, and to act.

Tell your Representative that you support comprehensive music reform. It's time to fix music law so that all music creators are paid fairly!

If you’d like to follow today’s hearing, the committee is planning to live-stream the proceeding on their website. The hearing is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT.

Congress has a real opportunity to pass meaningful legislation—the time for them to act is now.

Thank you for adding your voice to the movement!
