Help Rescue Chimpanzees. Nearly 700 chimpanzees are still confined in research labs. Hundreds of chimpanzees remain confined in research labs, even after all captive chimpanzees gained more protection by changes to the Endangered Species Act in late 2015.
Make a special pledge to recognize the nearly 700 chimpanzees still awaiting release from research laboratories and help raise awareness that the time has come to give them the sanctuary life they deserve.
Chimpanzees are intelligent and social beings who thrive on enriching activities and the bonds they share with others. Sanctuary life is all about freedom, choices, and companionship. At Save the Chimps, over 250 chimpanzee residents live on 3-acre island habitats landscaped with grass, trees, hills, and climbing structures. The chimps' days are filled with a variety of enrichment, nutritious fruits and vegetables, and, most importantly, the social bonds they need to thrive.
