Animal Testing Updates

Because of your persistence, your determination, your willingness to never give up -- the House has passed the final TSCA reform bill (the Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act H.R. 2576). We are so close to this bill being signed into law and tens of thousands of animals -- like rabbits, guinea pigs, and mice -- being spared the suffering associated with the testing of industrial chemicals in research labs.
Can you make a special onetime donation to help us get this bill over the finish line and to ensure we can continue to push for other critical animal protection legislation?
Humane Society Legislative Fund
This new law has been almost forty years in the making. We're so close to reducing -- if not eliminating, in some cases -- the use of animals for chemical testing.
So please, can you act today and make a donation -- of whatever you can afford -- and help us get this bill and other animal legislation through the Congress, onto the president's desk, and signed into law!
Help Rescue Chimpanzees. Nearly 700 chimpanzees are still confined in research labs. Hundreds of chimpanzees remain confined in research labs, even after all captive chimpanzees gained more protection by changes to the Endangered Species Act in late 2015.
Make a special pledge to recognize the nearly 700 chimpanzees still awaiting release from research laboratories and help raise awareness that the time has come to give them the sanctuary life they deserve.

Chimpanzees are intelligent and social beings who thrive on enriching activities and the bonds they share with others. Sanctuary life is all about freedom, choices, and companionship. At Save the Chimps, over 250 chimpanzee residents live on 3-acre island habitats landscaped with grass, trees, hills, and climbing structures. The chimps' days are filled with a variety of enrichment, nutritious fruits and vegetables, and, most importantly, the social bonds they need to thrive. Goal: 25,000 • Progress: 17,208 - Click to sign!
