Real Time With Bill Maher Show Weekly Update

We will first bring you an article written up by Bill entitled, Trump vs. Norquist.
Donald Trump supports raising his own taxes and getting rid of all kinds of loopholes for the super rich. This is the great thing about being able to finance your own campaign: You don’t have to do what donors want; you can focus on what voters want. And even most Republicans want to eliminate loopholes and raise taxes on Wall Street billionaires.

Finally, a Republican can tell Grover Norquist to shove his pledge up his ass.

Trump also supports full disclosure of all campaign contributions, another thing Republican donors are adamantly against.

The big surprise of this campaign so far is that I thought the Republican I’d agree with most – meaning, best-case scenario, one that’s only half crazy – would be Rand Paul. It turns out, on some things, it’s Trump.

The monologue tonight starts up which should no doubt be about the Pope arriving into the states this week. As most of you know, he was in (Washington) DC earlier this week. He hung with the POTUS and did a speech to Congress where many people cried at it.

He flew on up to New York City where he did speeches at ground Zero and to the people at the United Nations. Which I have to admit that speech he did aligning all religions together at Ground zero was amazing.

He will then fly to Philadelphia for the weekend.

But anyway, the Pope did come to DC and John Beohner announces his resignation right at the time he (Pope Frances) was doping his speech at Ground Zero. Along with him doing it on a Friday which Bill joked about and yes, this entire week on every news outlet was about the Pope. It was quite a week as Bill mentions how Beohner cried which he did and Kelly Ayotte cried and Tim Kaine cried. Andrea Mitchel;l said it was the most moving day she ever had in Washington DC. But it was a good week in that regard. Hisd messages have all been great for the likes of me. Climate issues. Greed is bad issues and we have to help the migrants / immigrants and more good things were things he said all week.

Lots of jokes about Beohner as Bill segues one into a joke about Volkswagen and them blaming it on the 'Jews'.  And, a great one about that guy that jacked up the Aids pill.

I will tell you that the Pope had a serious and rigid schedule. He was everywhere all day today (Friday). He was atthe UN building. He was up in Harlem. He wentthrough Central Park en route to the Garden (Madison Sqaure Garden). Watch the monologue here:
The Interview is back tonight and is with none other than Dr. Jane Goodall. She is of course the founder of the Jane Goodall Institute and a UN Messenger of Peace. In 1960 she began her pioneering studies of chimpanzees in the wild and has since become one of the world’s most prominent advocates for endangered species and the environment. She recently wrote the foreword to Steven Druker’s book, “Altered Genes, Twisted Truth,” about the FDA’s compliance with the GMO industry. Twitter: @JaneGoodallInst.

She brought in a stuffed cow for Bill and as a way to state that methane gas is hurting the environment. And, yes. The reason they throw shit at the glass windows at zoo's is because they do NOT belong in zoo's. They are bored off their asses.

Jane Goodall Thinks Cecil the Lion’s Killer Has a ‘Very Small Penis’. Legendary primatologist also tells Bill Maher that comparing Donald Trump to an orangutan is “very insulting to that poor orangutan”.

Jane Goodall chimed in on the controversy around the killing of beloved Zimbabwe treasure Cecil the Lion, suggesting the Minnesota dentist who hunted and killed him must be short on manliness.

Speaking to Bill Goodall said she can’t get into the mind of a hunter who will actually go out and shoot a beautiful animal.
“It actually makes me sick,” she said. Maher hypothesized that these hunters must have a small penis, but Goodall went a step further:  “They must have a very small penis.”

The legendary primatologist noted it’s not just about this one American dentist who killed Cecil.

“He’s one of many,” she said. “And when he said, ‘I wouldn’t have taken him if I’d known he had a name,’ it didn’t make any difference to the lion if he had a name. And all the others are just as important, even though we haven’t given them a name.”
The Panel tonight is with John Cleese. The comedian, writer, actor, tall person, and author of  "So, Anyway…", now available in paperback. Cleese and Monty Python co-founder Eric Idle will spend October on tour with their new show, “John Cleese & Eric Idle: Together Again At Last…For The Very First Time.” He can still be found performing the silly walk in his new app. Twitter: @JohnCleese. Along with S.E. Cupp, the CNN commentator, author, and nationally syndicated columnist. Her latest piece is a conversation with Dr. Joe Loconte of The King’s College about the Pope’s stance on climate change. Twitter: @secupp. And is with Ron Reagan is an author, MSNBC political analyst, and contributor to the nationally syndicated radio program "Both Sides Now.” Reagan recently appeared in a television commercial for the Freedom From Religion Foundation that was banned by several networks.

Honestly, I have forgotten all about S.E. Cupp over the last year or so. I am glad to see her here tonight. I actually did first see her on this show years ago. I like her counter points to the left, but anyway, John Cleese is very, very old. Just kidding. That was his own joke tonight. I love John Cleese of course and I love Ron Reagan. He is the best.

They dive right into Pope Frances in America and I did not know that he (Pope Frances) was a scientist or notably, he is a chemical engineer. He studied that in school. That is way cool when it comes to the far right saying that he (Pope Frances) is NOT a scientist when the fact is that he is one. Very interesting.
As far as religion goes, John Cleese did do the Life Of Brian movie which was very much ahead of our time.

And, I agree with S.E. Cupp in that liberals like certain things about the Pope, but the fact is that no Pope ever had talked this much about certain issues so that is a victory of sort. I do not care about what people think about abortion. It is a female choice what they do to their body. I do not get that argument and I never will get it. It is also the choice of a female to include the male in that conversation if he is or was the one that got them pregnant. So it goes back to let everyone deal their way and that is it. That is a libertarian view point.

But again, we all know what the Pope and deep religious people are against when it comes to contraception and whatnot. No one is claiming a victory in any way. We are just happy that this Pope has stretched itself out to being more real than past Popes.

John Cleese is so funny ('are you listening Donald').

This Pope did say that atheists can indeed go to heaven even though atheists do not believe in heaven. That's the greatest irony I may have ever heard but anyway, it is also cool of this Pope to say.

Let's turn to Politics this week. I have honestly forgot that Scott Walker left the race this week. That seems like ten years ago. We also know that John Beohner announced his resignation today during the speech at Ground Zero (at a time when no one was listening to anything but that speech). Let's be real about why (Scott) Walker had to quite the race. He was so bad in this primary. He was not real. Like when he mentioned building that wall between us and Canada. Just because trump was saying it about Mexico and the USA? It was so calculated and he acted that way every day. Plus, he blew the last debate. I forgot to even mention him in my recap of it that very next day. I could not believe it but I totally forgot to mention him.

As for the Volkswagen lying about emissions issue, here some Ads that Bill placed together on behalf of it and that we had forgotten about:
Joking aside, The new VW Chief Must Put Trust Before Profits.

VW's Polluting Cars Put More Crud in the Air Than An Entire European Nation
VW Sets Aside $7.2B to Pay for Cheating Scandal

Volkswagen said Tuesday it is setting aside more than $7.2 billion to cover the anticipated cost of resolving its diesel emissions cheating scandal, a figure that could be eclipsed by potential penalties and lawsuits facing the German automaker in the U.S. The issue, meanwhile, now is spreading to other markets, with VW confirming it used the same illicit software - dubbed a "defeat device" by U.S. regulators - on 11 million diesel vehicles sold worldwide. That has triggered calls for new investigations in markets from South Korea to the European Union.

And, the Mid-Show Interview is with Spike Feresten whom is a comedian, car collector, and host of Esquire Network's “Car Matchmaker with Spike Feresten,” where he helps people find the perfect set of wheels. Twitter: @SpikeFeresten.

I do recognize this guy but i cant put my finger on where I know him from.

Honestly, I really do not trust the people that work in the EPA. They are on my shit list lately.

And, regarding that kid who jacked the prices on his pill. I am not too sure about him but this is the second time this week (I think the first time was when Steve Kornacki was hosting some show this week) I heard the guy called a total jack ass. I wonder why is considered to be more of an asshole than people in say oil industries, or in the gun industry or even in Big Pharma itself. It is all about greed and making as much money as human possible with the greatest of profit margins.

Here some more scenes from the show. This one is about that kid Ahmed and his Clock (we went over this issue last week and I am not rehashing the fact that it looked like a bomb and whomever should have done its due diligence to make sure its not a bomb (no matter what the kid looks like) and yet, we also know that he should have not been arrested either):

The other thing is that its not even an invention. He took the guts from one clock and made into another one. Besides, we have all made a bong from an apple. Its the same thing...almost.

And, of course we have New Rules. New Rules folks.

Oh God. The rat dragging the pizza joke is funny (but not). OMG. the joke about Hillary being the other person (besides the Pope) that gave up having sex for their job (to paraphrase).

And finally, New Rule – “Real American” Heroes:

I can care less about the Kim Davis woman. She is a total idiot and the law is the law no matter how close the Supreme vote was but most of all, have you seen this picture of her from that press conference after she was released from prison:
And, honestly, I forgot about Cliven Bundy and I did not know he made the news again for bigoted comments.

Overall, we all know how I feel about that asshole George Zimmerman. We do not even know to go there and who even remembers Joe The Plumber. His name is not even Joe in real life. I also do not know much about Josh Dugger and I have never seen that 19 and Counting reality show. The only things I know about that guy is what has been in the news lately about hypocrisy.
Here are two Web Exclusive New Rules: Faux Chisel

Web Exclusive New Rule - Lotion Sickness
Bill and his roundtable guests - Jane Goodall, Ron Reagan, S.E. Cupp, John Cleese and Spike Feresten- will answer viewer questions after the show.
