Calf Brutally Stabbed in Rectum Deserves Justice
Target: La Porte Police Department Detective Matt Davidson
Goal: Find and arrest the person who allegedly stabbed a young calf in its rectum.
A harmless, innocent calf raised by a high school student was stabbed internally a week before its debut at the Houston Livestock Show. Its owner, Hunter, discovered the young calf in critical condition after the vicious attack, and unfortunately, it was unable to recover. His family was called by the owner of the barn, where they keep the calf, and was told that the animal was sluggish, ill, and had great difficulty standing on its own. When a vet arrived to examine the animal, the family was shocked to realize the brutal extent of the calf’s injuries from the attack.
La Porte Police Department Detective Matt Davidson described the wound as a “perforation to the calf’s internal portion of his rectum.” Although the calf hung on for as long as possible, there seemed to be no alternative besides euthanizing it. The police department has issued a statement that they are accepting tips that will lead to the suspect’s arrest, but no progress has been made. Their Facebook post states, “…an unknown suspect entered a pasture […] then used a sharp instrument to cut the calf internally, which ultimately led to the calf having to be euthanized.” There is a possibility that the suspect could strike again, so farmers and ranchers should be wary.

Dear Detective Matt Davidson,
The calf that was stabbed internally and left for dead in a field deserves justice. I cannot imagine how much it suffered before eventually being discovered by its shocked owner. The calf laid on the ground for hours, bleeding out and agonizing for a prolonged period of time; obviously, the suspect was sadistic enough to injure an animal just to make it suffer. The person who committed this disgusting crime needs to be arrested and punished severely. There is never a reason to attack a defenseless animal, and the manner in which the suspect did so is appalling.
I am urging you to do everything in your power to investigate this incident and arrest the suspect responsible for stabbing an innocent calf. The suspect needs to be formally charged with animal cruelty. I am also afraid that this person may find an opportunity to attack more animals in the future, so his or her arrest is urgent.

Punish Owners of Abusive, Illegal Slaughterhouse
Target: Katherine Fernandez Rundle, Miami-Dade State Attorney
Goal: Prosecute the men who allegedly abused and violently slaughtered thousands of animals with the harshest punishment under law.
Miami-Dade police recently arrested two farm owners for allegedly committing abhorring animal cruelty to nearly 9,500 animals. The two men were reportedly operating an illegal slaughterhouse where police rescued nearly 9,500 pigs, goats, chickens and cows living in deplorable conditions, with many animals already dead and partially eaten.
Sadly, around 100 animals were found in such horrific condition they had to be euthanized immediately by rescue veterinarians. The rest of the animals are being transported to various shelters in what some are calling America’s biggest animal rescue mission ever.
Some animals were starving so badly that they began to eat each other. Many animals were found shackled up, starving to death without food, water, or access to fresh air. The animals being kept and slaughtered in such unsanitary conditions caused many of the animals to catch diseases, posing a public health risk because the meat from these animals was being sold to unknowing citizens.
An undercover investigation revealed that the men would allegedly throw around the animals, beat them, tie them up, then hang them and slit their throats in order to kill them. Police said pigs who still showed signs of life were being boiled alive and drowned to death. Luckily these men have been caught, but they need to face the worst possible consequences for their alleged sickening actions. Animal cruelty is a revolting crime that cannot be tolerated. Two men were recently arrested by Miami-Dade police when nearly 9,500 animals were rescued from horrifying living conditions on the mens’ farm. These animals were not only living in crowded, unsanitary conditions without adequate food, water, shelter and fresh air, they were being inhumanely slaughtered. These men reportedly violently abused tons of animals, through the direct force of beating them and boiling alive, and through extreme neglect.
Some people are reporting that this is the biggest animal rescue case in the history of the United States. What these men did is so unthinkable, it cannot go unpunished without the worst possible consequences. We have to take a stand for the innocent animals that can’t speak for themselves and who had to face such saddening and unnecessary suffering. I urge you to prosecute these men under the highest possible punishment of the law.

Saved From a Dog Fighting Ring, Cadence the Pit Bull Gets a Second Chance at Life (VIDEO)
When Hope for Paws received a call about an injured Pit Bull outside of Los Angeles, they immediately set out to help. Known for their incredible ability to transform formerly abused dogs into loving, exuberant animals, Hope for Paws was certainly the right rescue to call.
Rescuers arrived at the scene to find a female Pit Bull, covered in scrapes and wounds, cowering in an alley. Unlike other dogs that the Hope for Paws team has encountered, she did not run from rescuers but seemed absolutely desperate for their help.
Naming her Cadence, the team was able to get her into their rescue van and back to their vet facility in no time. It didn’t take long for them to judge from her injuries that Cadence had been used as a bait dog in a fighting ring. Bait dogs are often smaller, more docile dogs who are used to train fighting dogs to attack and kill. If Hope for Paws had not stepped in to rescue her, there is no doubt that this sweet dog would not have survived.
