Irma Response Begins. Hurricane Irma Update. The ASPCA is now on the ground in Florida and South Carolina assisting with pre-evacuation, relocation and emergency sheltering efforts for animals who may be impacted by Hurricane Irma. As we continue our efforts in Texas to help pets and their owners displaced by Harvey, our efforts to provide much-needed resources have just expanded exponentially. Please give today, and 100% of your donation will go toward the ASPCA Field Investigations and Response Fund, to support our life-saving efforts in disaster and cruelty situations.
The ASPCA is on the ground in Galveston, Texas at the request of Galveston County Animal Resource Center helping with recovery efforts in the wake of severe flooding from Hurricane Harvey. Our disaster response team is working with local shelters to manage the transport of homeless animals from Galveston County to shelters in Austin and Dallas.
Beyond Galveston, the ASPCA's search-and-rescue, sheltering and relocation teams are in Harvey-impacted areas across Texas and Louisiana, actively engaging with several municipalities to deploy much-needed resources and assistance to animal victims of this unprecedented and life-threatening storm who need our help most.

Historic storm Harvey has sadly already claimed lives, and has left tens of thousands of residents and their pets displaced or in danger. As unprecedented rain and flooding continues to wreak havoc on the region, it is clear that the days, weeks and months ahead will require critical emergency response as the conditions develop and the damage is assessed.
The ASPCA is currently readying our response efforts with preparations for water rescue, emergency sheltering and relocation for the areas where animals may need our help most. Your donation today will help fund our life-saving work including preparing for urgent animal rescue deployments, when animals' lives across the country are at risk.
