San Antonio cop shooting: police officer killed inside squad car while writing a ticket

A Texas police officer was killed inside a squad car parked outside San Antonio police headquarters on Sunday.


Speaking at a news conference, Chief William McManus said Detective Benjamin Marconi was writing a ticket inside a police vehicle right before noon when the suspect’s car pulled up behind him. The suspect, described as a slim black man in his 20s or 30s, reportedly walked up to the driver’s side window and fired at Marconi, before reaching through the open window and opening fire again. Marconi was struck in the head and killed.

The suspect then reportedly walked back to his car, said to be a black Toyota or Nissan sedan with dark windows and chrome rims, and fled the scene through the police headquarters parking lot and from the west side of the building.

McManus compared the incident to to the recent deaths of police officers in Dallas and Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Man kills cop: Wayne State police officer dies from gunshot wound to the head

A Wayne State University police officer died in the hospital on Wednesday night after he was shot in the head while on patrol.


K-9 officer Collin Rose was shot on Tuesday evening a few blocks away from the university’s campus in Detroit, the Detroit Free Press reported. The 29-year-old is the first Wayne State officer to be killed in the line of duty.

The incident began on Tuesday when Rose was alone on patrol with his two dogs. The officer approached a man on a mountain bicycle, who residents had complained was causing trouble in the area.

When Rose tried to handcuff the suspect, a struggle ensued, and witnesses said at least three gunshots were fired.

Rose suffered at least one gunshot wound to the head and was rushed to the hospital. Despite undergoing surgery, the officer died of his injuries on Wednesday.

A suspect named in several reports as Deangelo Davis was arrested, and police were trying to establish a motive for the killing.
Man shoots black teen dead, tells cops it’s ‘another piece of trash off the street’


A 62-year-old white man accused of shooting a black teenager dead earlier this week said he viewed the killing as the removal of “another piece of trash off the street.” 


William Pulliam showed no remorse after he was arrested and charged with the murder of 15-year-old James Means, the Charleston Gazette-Mail reported, citing police.

The incident began on Monday night when Pulliam and Means bumped into each other outside a Dollar General Store in Charleston’s East End district. The man and the teenager argued, and Pulliam went into the store.

According to witnesses, Means was hanging around with two friends when Pulliam came back out. As Pulliam walked by, the two argued again before the older man crossed the street.

Means then followed Pulliam to continue the argument, but when he crossed the road, Pulliam pulled out a .38 caliber revolver and shot the teenager dead.
Police chase caught on camera: Man videos high-speed police pursuit after cops open fire


Footage filmed earlier this month from inside a car being chased at high speed by cops is going viral.


Video of the incident was posted to social media on Nov. 4 with the hashtag “blacklivesmatter”. The man who filmed it has been identified as Mikhail Salmon, and the driver as Haile Wilson. 

According to the Connecticut Post, the cops were on the lookout for a guy named Ali who was dealing drugs out of a gray Audi sedan. Salmon and Wilson were allegedly driving a car that matched that description when the chase went down on Nov. 1.

Police say they’d tried to stop them when the car suddenly reversed, crashing into an undercover cop’s vehicle.

Next, the car is said to have nearly hit a cop in uniform, prompting another officer to open fire. This reportedly made Wilson speed off, and police followed in a high-speed pursuit. 

The car soon struck several other vehicles and crashed into a tree.
