It’s
been a life long dream to visit Cuba, and with now recently restored relations,
the clock is ticking to travel there before it changes forever.
Leading
up to my journey, I spent 4 months studying the Spanish language using Rosetta
Stone, so as to be able to navigate my way around Cuba and converse with the
Cuban People.
Follow me for an insider's look on my journey to Cuba.
My mode of transport to the island: BOAT
Special thanks to George
Bellenger and Joe Weatherby from the Havana Challenge (http://bit.ly/1PlXXwa),
maritime pioneers in boat travel to Cuba, who were able to acquire adequate
permits for us in order to become one of the first vessels to legally boat to
the forbidden island in over 60 years.
Just 90 miles and a short boat
ride off the coast of Florida we say Hola to Havana.
