All three new park designations are a result of years of building broad local support for these important areas of America. Back in December, more than 18,000 LCV supporters urged President Obama to permanently protect Colorado’s Browns Canyon — and he listened! Now officially named Browns Canyon National Monument, this beautiful stretch of the Arkansas River — known for its world-class whitewater rafting and Gold Medal trout waters, wildlife viewing, and sweeping views — will be preserved for generations to come and be a strong economic driver for Colorado.

Pullman honors our shared American history of struggling for fair treatment on the job and for civil rights. The Honouliuli Internment Camp preserves a historic site to share the lessons and legacy of Japanese-American internment for future generations. Thank you for all you’ve done to make these new parks a reality!
