COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland Athletics will celebrate the
recent Hall of Fame inductions of legendary men’s basketball coach Gary
Williams with a special event on Jan. 16 at the College Park Marriott &
Conference Center.
“A Night to Honor Gary Williams” will feature speakers Juan Dixon, Walt Williams and Kevin Anderson and will celebrate the induction of Williams to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame. He was the first coach in history to be selected to both institutions in the same year. A cocktail reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. with dinner to follow at 7:30 p.m. Dress is cocktail attire and tickets are $100 per person with table purchases available upon request.
